Production – this is the part where the raw footage and other element are for the film is recorded during the film shoot. The film is created and shot with the primary aim to stick to budget and schedule. A typical day shooting includes the crew arriving on set by their call time. The actors usually have their separate call times since set construction, dressing and lighting can take hours or even days. Production is really a vital aspect of film production as it part of the building process of any film production. For production phase on live-action films, synchronizing work schedules of key cast and crew members is very important, since for many scenes, several cast members and most of the crew, must be physically present at the same place at the same time.

Animated films have different workflow at the production phase. In that voice actors can record their takes in the recording studio at different times and may not see one another until the film’s premiere, while most physical live action tasks are either unnecessary or are simulated by various types of animators.

Post – production – this refers to the images, sounds and visual effects that affects a film production. They are then edited and recorded into a finished product. It starts when principal film ends, but they may overlap. The bulk of post-production consist of reviewing the footage and assembling the movie and taking it to the next step which is editing. At this stage, the film is assembled by a film editor. The sound dialogue is also edited; music tracks and songs are composed and recorded if a film is sought to have a score. All these are being put together to ascertain proper measurable growth.

Distribution – the completed film is being distributed, marketed and screened in the cinemas. Another important factor is the area of financing for the project. Distribution in film production is really a major key to maximizing sales and having a basic skill and knowledge in this field is very important and it cannot be left out.

Film distributors always release a launch party with a red carpet event premiere, interview with press bodies (preview screening, releases, and festival screenings) most films are also promoted with their own special website separate from those of the Production Company or distributor. For major films, key personnel are often contractually required to participate in promotional tours in which they appear at premieres and festivals and sit for interviews with many T.V, print and online journalism.
